Description

Sometimes we all need a little guidance on our parenting journey.  When you feel overwhelmed, exhausted and have lost faith in ever getting your child to sleep, sleep expert Deb Herdman is here to support your parenting values.

“We never use stressful methods. Our plan is to get you back to celebrating parenthood and your family to sleep well for life”

Why talk to Deb?

Deb is a practicing health professional and registered nurse with over twenty years experience including neonatal special care and operating theatre/perioperative.

She developed 3R’s to sleep success system and the Nigh’ Nigh’ Sleepy Head® resources and offers expert advice on implementation that is research based, safe and considerate of your personal needs.

As a multigenerational mum (with children 21 years apart in age) she has experienced sleep deprivation, first hand, and ‘gets’ how you feel.

“I am passionate about helping other working mums get the sleep they and their family needs to thrive”

Deb only supports gentle and nurturing sleep methods, so crying to sleep will NEVER be considered an option.

“I believe the concept of ‘sleep training’ to be a misnomer. If it truly worked, why do children and adults regress into poor sleep habits? Lets talk about lifelong alternatives that are simple and really work.

If you need other support/referrals to practitioners that follow gentle parenting, ask Deb for a referral.

I have consulted with many mothers, and it is so rewarding to hear the difference sleep makes to their baby or toddler, their parenting and their own emotional health. Be proactive and end sleep debt just like the mothers whom have kindly sent reviews.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you for the wonderful advice i have been given to help settle my 11 month old baby boy… whilst fighting the whole teething problem… Deb was able to help relax and soothe my baby with her wonderful products Nigh Nigh Sleepy Head cd and bear….after a rough few months of teething and catching a bug for 7 days. My son is now able to soothe himself off to sleep with just a resting hand on the shoulder instead of been rocked in my arms…. so proud of my little man and I can’t thank Deb Herdman enough for wonderful and caring advice

Just as we had reached the point where we’d given up on thinking we’d ever get a regular good night’s sleep finally after speaking with Deb for around half an hour (and having previously purchased the music) we have made great progress. All was needed was a few little tweaks to our routine and the difference was more or less immediate. I really thought I’d tried everything but with a combination of the nigh nigh sleepy head music, a calmer and earlier bedtime and sleep is now averaging 10.5 hours a night with a lot less night wakings. It’s still not perfect but I’m hopeful sleep will continue to get better over the coming months. Fingers crossed and a huge thank you to Deb for the advice. My 2.5 year old sings along to the music with me when he’s going to bed and it really helps him to settle (something he’s never been good at – mainly due to having reflux for the first 8 months of his life and after having been quite sick with various viruses for most of the first two years of his life). I really do feel like we have turned a corner.

Settling my almost 1 year old to sleep at night has always been quite a challenge. A very stressful time for both Mummy, Daddy & Bubba. Since introducing the Nigh’ Nigh’ system a few weeks ago, we have made leaps and bounds. The soothing music ensures that my little boy drifts off in a calm and relaxed state & the rhythm of the music helps me to keep a constant beat as I pat him off to sleep.
We still have our challenges, but having a gentle nurturing tool to help us through the bad nights is such a god send. We are continually making progress.
I would recommend Nigh’ Nigh’ to any parent who has experienced bed time stress like we did. My only regret is that we didn’t try it sooner! Thank you Deb. Your support and advice has been invaluable.

Nigh Nigh Sleepy Head has worked wonders for our five month old baby!! We were continuing to swaddle him for sleeps as his busy arms were keeping him from falling asleep easily. And after a few unsuccessful attempts to unswaddle him, I contacted Deb for some advice! The gentle words and music are relaxing him into a deep sleep shortly after we put him in his cot. As I am doing our night time routine now… bath, feed, bedtime-I sing the chorus and he smiles up at me, he knows whats coming and it makes bedtime a lovely time for us all!! We have been using the music now for two weeks and have had success since day one!!
I also had the pleasure of Deb chatting to my mums group, giving us all some very helpful sleep advice. Many thanks-Alanna Sheehan

Oh Nigh’ Nigh’, why didn’t we found you months ago! Our 20 month old boy has always been a terrible sleeper but he became an even worse sleeper after we spent 3 nights away from him at around 18 months. That’s where Nigh’ Nigh’ came in and helped us settle our little boy to sleep. We used to have to hold him to sleep and it was touch and go as to whether we could transition him to his cot without him waking. If he woke during the night, we ended up putting him in bed with us so that we could all get some sleep. That’s when Nigh’ Nigh’ came in and helped us settle him to sleep for the night. In about 10 minutes, we have a cuddle, read books, music, ted and then we put him into his bed awake and we can leave the room, no crying, no standing up in his cot protesting etc. He just rolls over and goes to sleep. In about the week or so that we have been using Nigh’ Nigh, our 20 month old has slept about 4 nights from 7pm to 7.30 am, which is unheard of for our little man! Although he isn’t sleeping through every night, we now have the techniques on how to settle him without him getting too worked up and without us getting too stressed. Thanks Nigh’ Nigh’ and Deb – we couldn’t recommend you highly enough!
